Prof Jurg Keller is the Deputy Director Research of the Advanced Water Management Centre, an internationally leading research center he founded 23 years ago, and a Professor in the School of Chemical Engineering at the University of Queensland.

A range of circular economy centric themes were explored particularly the use of water as a scarce global commodity. Topics of recovery and recycling at a centralized and decentralized level were covered. The impact of human waste disposal was covered, and alternate options proposed for disposal and reuse of what is a valuable material were highlighted
